Seattle Symphony

For this project, Carey created animals to be projected against walls of the concert hall to “illustrate” Seattle Symphony’s performance of Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate’s “Chief Spirit Names the Animal People.” Narrated by Swil Kanim Marshall, who gave voice to the Chief and animals in the story, this concert was part of the Symphony’s Family Concert Series. Carey designed a Coyote, Mole, Bear, Salmon, Eagle and Forest of Trees, which were custom fitted to the gobo lights that were used to bring the scenes in the story to life.
